Students Teaching English to our World (STEW) envisions to empower refugees and migrant adults through education, with a particular focus on women. We provide free one-on-one English tutoring right across Melbourne.

STEW works in collaboration with AMES (Adult Multicultural Education Services) who provides us with the training for our volunteers. Together with AMES and other community organisations we match volunteers with students from their local community. Our organisation is unique because we directly connect university students to the community. We encourage students to use their education to empower others, who we believe in turn will impact their community.
